Join our team as a Plasterer

Join our Essential Repairs Team as a Plasterer and help us provide safe, high-quality homes for our customers. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled trade professional who takes pride in delivering high standards of workmanship and excellent customer service.

You’ll play an important role in maintaining and improving our homes, carrying out a range of plastering repairs and refurbishment works while supporting our vision of providing quality housing and services. Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out a wide range of plastering repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works within tenants' homes and other Be One Homes properties.
  • Undertake solid plastering, including applying wet finishes, pebbledash, sand and cement rendering, and protective external wall coverings.
  • Install and repair plasterboard and dry lining systems, including ceilings, partitions and finishing coats ready for decoration.
  • Carry out property inspections and identify any additional repairs or health and safety concerns.
  • Use mobile working technology and digital systems to receive, update and complete work orders.
  • Deliver a professional, respectful and customer-focused service, keeping residents informed throughout repair works.
  • Work collaboratively with other trades, housing colleagues and external partners to deliver efficient repair services.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations, organisational policies and quality standards.

What you'll need to succeed

  • NVQ Level 2 in Plastering, City & Guilds qualification or equivalent.
  • A full valid driving licence.
  • Excellent knowledge and practical competence in all aspects of plastering.
  • Experience working alongside other trades to deliver repairs and maintenance services.
  • Experience working directly with customers and providing clear communication and excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in a clear and understandable way.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to shared outcomes.
  • A proactive, adaptable and solution-focused approach to work.
  • Awareness of health and safety requirements within a maintenance environment.
