We are looking for two Health and Safety Business Partners to work closely with colleagues across the organisation. You will help people understand health and safety requirements, reduce risk, and create safe, healthy and inclusive working environments both physically and psychologically. This role focuses on partnership, practical advice and continuous improvement, supporting colleagues to do the right thing in a clear, proportionate and supportive way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a main point of contact for health and safety matters within a defined area of the business
  • Support compliance with health and safety legislation through audits, inspections, observations and monitoring
  • Identify hazards, support risk assessments and provide practical advice to manage and reduce risk
  • Design, update and help implement health and safety policies, procedures and guidance
  • Lead or support incident investigations and advise on learning and preventative action
  • Deliver clear, accessible training, briefings and workshops on health, safety and wellbeing topics

What you'll need to succeed

  • A NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or willingness to complete within 12 months)
  • Experience carrying out risk assessments and supporting safe systems of work
  • A good working knowledge of health and safety legislation and how it applies in practice
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly to different audiences
  • The ability to build positive, professional relationships and influence others constructively
  • Organisational skills to manage priorities, meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure
