As an Electrical Supervisor, youll play a key role in planning and coordinating electrical work, ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. Youll support your team to perform at their best while working closely with colleagues, contractors and customers to deliver a reliable service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of electricians to deliver a high-quality electrical repairs and maintenance service.
- Plan and allocate work effectively to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and meet productivity and quality targets.
- Carry out quality checks and monitor work to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Liaise with customers regarding site arrangements and respond to escalations or complaints where required.
- Work with colleagues, contractors and partner agencies to support effective service delivery.
- Attend site meetings and work with stakeholders to agree priorities, targets and service standards.
- Undertake risk assessments and method statements, ensuring safe working practices for staff and customers.
- Maintain accurate operational and financial records and provide management information as required.
- Deliver toolbox talks and support the ongoing development of the team.
- Manage team wellbeing matters, including sickness absence and staff support.
- Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in all decisions and interactions.
- Report health and safety concerns and share learning where appropriate.
What youll need to succeed
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- City & Guilds 2382-18 (18th Edition) or equivalent qualification.
- City & Guilds 2391 (or willingness to work towards).
- Experience working as a qualified electrician, ideally within residential properties or housing maintenance.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to plan and manage operational workloads.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships with customers, colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- A solution-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Good digital skills, including experience using Microsoft applications such as Teams and Outlook.
- Strong health and safety awareness and knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Full and clean driving licence.
- Experience managing staff or leading teams (desirable). xiskglj
