Are you a senior level Solutions Architect comfortable with leading a team and relishing the challenge of leading a business wide function? You have the opportunity to join a global financial powerhouse and household name, operating from their Glasgow tech hub. You will work to design, develop and implement solutions to complex business problems while collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements. Within the day to day you will be instrumental in designing and implementing solutions that not only meet those needs but create solutions that balance technology risks against business delivery and consistency. You will lead a small but growing team, currently highlighted as a key area of investment in the business.
To be successful as a Lead Solution Architect, you should have the following skills/experience:
- Proven experience designing, securing, and scaling RESTful APIs within banking or financial services (ideally OpenAPI/Swagger standards).
- Deep understanding of API gateways, authentication (OAuth 2.0, mTLS), rate limiting, and monitoring.
- Designing robust, scalable solutions that connect internal systems with external partners (expertise in defining solution blueprints, selecting technology components, and aligning with enterprise architecture standards).
- Understanding of financial regulations (e.g., PSD2, ISO 20022, GDPR) and how to embed compliance and security by design in API development.
