We're supporting a client looking for an IT Project Engineer to deliver high-quality technical projects across customer environments. This is a hands-on role where you'll own installations, migrations, upgrades, and transformation projects across cloud, infrastructure, networking, security, and telecoms. If you enjoy seeing projects through from planning to go-live — and want real ownership rather than endless ticket queues — this role offers the variety and autonomy you're looking for.
The Role
You’ll work closely with Project Managers, 2nd/3rd Line Engineers, and customers to deliver projects on time, to scope, and to best-practice standards. You’ll be responsible for:
- Delivering server, cloud, networking, and telecoms projects end-to-end
- Installing and migrating Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
- Deploying Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualisation platforms
- Configuring firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, Wi-Fi, and switching
- Supporting VoIP and telecoms deployments (Gamma Horizon, SIP, etc.)
- Conducting IT audits, onboarding activities, and infrastructure reviews
- Leading customer go-lives and cutovers (including out-of-hours work when required)
- Producing clear documentation, implementation plans, and handovers
This is a client-facing role — you’ll be the technical lead during engagements, providing clear communication and building trusted relationships.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–5+ years' MSP experience delivering projects or advanced 2nd/3rd line support
- Strong hands-on expertise across:
- Windows Server (2016–2022), AD, GPO
- VMware or Hyper-V
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Security)
- Azure (VMs, identity, networking, Intune, Conditional Access)
- Firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching, Wi-Fi
- Backup & DR solutions
- Microsoft (MS-900, AZ-900, MS-102, AZ-104, SC-300)
- Cisco (CCNA / CCNP)
- CompTIA (Network+, Security+)
