This is a really exciting opportunity to join our Edinburgh based client as their Delivery Manager (Strategic) on a permanent basis. Reporting into Director level you will be responsible for implementing a number of projects covering stakeholders from Technical to Operational and Finance.
Joining a new team you will be required to help to design new propositions for within the business and work with key stakeholders to influence and guide the direction of the business team. You will work closely with external suppliers along with internal functions helping to design a go to market strategy for the business proposition and aligning to the current and forward moving business plan.
You will be asked to create and nurture a collaborative culture working through matrix management to ensure projects are implemented and completed within timelines and to targets. You will be required to be very commercially astute in this role preparing project financial reports and analysing and identifying risks to programmes and business processes.
The relevant candidate for the role will have the following experience:
- Strong programme management experience and be used to working to deadlines and engaging third party suppliers
- Strong commercial acumen and experience reporting on the financial aspects of projects and programmes
- Strategic planning experience and experience of working with multiple stakeholders within finance, tech, legal and operations
- Strong programme budget experience is essential for this role
- Experience supporting a business through change and influencing key stakeholders is also essential in this position
- Experience within engineering or utilities would be beneficial
