Join a rapidly growing, independent IT Solutions Provider on an exciting pan-European expansion journey. With 20+ years of delivering scalable managed solutions and having secured contracts across the UK and Europe, they are entering a further phase of growth and need a commercially sharp BDM to help drive it.
This is a front-line new client acquisition role targeting the Small and Medium sized Enterprises market, typically 30+ seats across Scotland and the North of England. You will own the full sales cycle from pipeline development through to post-sale account incubation, working alongside an internal Business Development team and technical pre-sales function to deliver consultative, commercially sound solutions.
The tasks of a Business Development Manager will include:
- Convert BDR-generated meetings and self-sourced opportunities into new contracted customers across the SME market.
- Own the commercial relationship through a defined post-sale incubation period, managing supplier engagement, pricing, and early customer growth.
- Self-source meetings: referrals, networking and relationship development.
- Work with technical pre-sales to ensure all proposed solutions are technically assured and commercially viable before contracting.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting within HubSpot CRM.
- Represent the full portfolio: Support, Security, Connectivity, Comms, and Professional Services.
- Transition new customers into Account Management following incubation.
To progress as a Business Development Manager, you will require:

- Proven new business track record in a B2B environment.
- Strong commercial skills; ability to structure margins & deals effectively.
- Consultative selling skills, listening and understanding client needs.
- Confident communicator at owner, MD, and director level.
- Self-motivated, disciplined individual who thrives in target-driven environment.

- Experience in an MSP, IT, or tech led service environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft solutions and managed service models.
