The Role: As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll join a dynamic Cloud Operations Team responsible for designing, securing, and managing both on-premises and public cloud platforms. You’ll work across AWS, Azure, and VMware, supporting enterprise-grade infrastructure and helping shape the future of hybrid cloud services. Tech Environment:
- Cloud: AWS, Microsoft Azure
- Virtualization: VMware VCF, vSphere, ESXi
- Automation: Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python
- Monitoring: Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana
- ITSM: ServiceNow
- OS: Windows Server, Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu)
The day to day:
- Deploying and maintaining secure, scalable cloud and infrastructure solutions.
- Driving automation and CI/CD practices across hybrid environments.
- Providing 2nd/3rd line support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborating with product and customer success teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Ensuring compliance, backup integrity, and system patching.
- Participating in an on-call rota (with advance notice and full support).
Skills Required:
- Solid understanding of cloud architecture and deployment models.
- Proficiency in Windows or Linux system administration.
- Working knowledge of networking (Layer 3–7) and security best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) or VMware.
- Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and data management (SAN, backup, DR).
