Goodman Masson is supporting a dynamic and fast–growing global investment platform in its search for a Group Financial Controller to join its London–based finance team. This innovative organisation specialises in renewable energy and infrastructure investments, focusing on projects that drive sustainable growth worldwide.

As Group Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial operations of the organisation, working closely with the Finance Director and other senior stakeholders. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to an ambitious and expanding portfolio of global assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Operations: Oversee month–end close processes, consolidated/group reporting, platform recharges, internal controls, audits, and financial ledger systems;
  2. Technical Accounting: Provide expertise in M&A and technical accounting matters, including Investment Entity accounting (IFRS 10);
  3. Entity Management: Manage financial reporting, audits, and payments for holding and joint venture companies where applicable;
  4. Finance Business Partnering: Collaborate with cost centre owners to ensure efficient and effective financial management;
  5. Process Optimisation: Lead the organisation of lean and agile financial operations, supported by enterprise outsourcing service providers (OSPs).

Skills & Experience:

  1. Prior experience in a similar role, ideally within infrastructure, renewable energy, or private equity;
  2. Strong expertise in M&A and technical accounting, particularly with Investment Entity accounting under IFRS 10;
  3. Solid understanding of renewable energy and infrastructure investments across the development, construction, and operational lifecycle;
  4. Proven ability to analyse complex financial information and present it to senior management;
  5. ACA–qualified (or equivalent) trained in audit at an accounting firm and at least five years of post–qualification experience;
  6. Experience in building and managing lean financial operations in partnership with enterprise OSPs.
