What are we looking for?
Essential experience
- At least 3 years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Youth work or education
- Mental health or counselling
- Workshop facilitation or public speaking
- Training or group delivery
- Experience working with young people or vulnerable groups
- Confidence delivering material in group settings and handling sensitive topics
Desirable experience
- Familiarity with safeguarding principles and practices
- Lived or professional experience of mental health challenges or support services
- Experience adapting content for different learning styles or accessibility needs

What will you be doing?
Be Free Campaign is a youth mental health charity working to equip young people with the knowledge and confidence to manage their mental wellbeing and support peers. Our interactive workshops are delivered in schools, youth groups, universities, and other community settings across Liverpool and the North West. We seek an experienced professional to volunteer as an Outreach Facilitator to help us deliver these sessions.
You will join our team in running engaging, informative workshops that raise awareness, challenge stigma, and provide practical tools for mental health support. This role is flexible and suited to someone with a background in education, youth work, mental health, public health, counselling, or training/facilitation. You should be confident leading sessions, experienced working with young people, and passionate about prevention and early intervention in mental health.
As an Outreach Volunteer, you will be supported with workshop materials, training, and debriefing. Your role is vital in ensuring our sessions remain impactful, safe, and inclusive for all audiences.
