Job Description
Data, Insight & Performance
- Understand the overall portfolio performance data (KPIs, schedules, risks, benefits).
- Work with the BIM Lead to ensure that efficiencies are continuously captured for decision ready portfolio reporting.
- Work with teams across the portfolio to deliver decision ready dashboards: design and automate dashboards for monthly/quarterly reporting; highlight trends, variances, and escalations early.
Performance Reporting & Insight
- Complete monthly portfolio reporting to senior leaders across Be First and London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.
- Undertake monthly project monitoring activities including utilising development management software (SDS Sequel currently) in conjunction with financial management software (Advanced E5 currently).
- Consolidate data from project teams and validate accuracy.
- Highlight variances, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure projects align with programme goals.
- Identify risks, issues, and trends, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain and continuously improve reporting templates and tools.
Process Improvement
- Evaluate programme processes and suggest improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support implementation of best practices and compliance with governance requirements and standards.
- Support the facilitation of programme reviews, gateway meetings and assurance activities.
Procurement & Commercial Support
- Maintain procurement logs, contracts and supplier performance records.
- Liaise with Legal, Commercial and Finance to support complete and accurate documentation.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with teams across the business to provide analytical insights, handle dependencies and monitor progress as required.
- Support preparation of meetings, trainings, workshops and briefings.

Essential
- Strong experience in data analysis, reporting, and performance monitoring within a programme or PMO environment.
- Proven ability to design and improve processes, templates, and digital tools to enhance efficiency and governance.
- Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI /or similar analytics platforms, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
- Understanding of programme management principles, governance frameworks, and stage-gate assurance.
- Experience in risk, KPIs, and benefits tracking across multiple projects or programmes.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain data integrity and audit trails.
- Strong communication skills to present insights clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work proactively, prioritise competing deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements.
Desirable
- Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline (e.g., data analytics, business management, or project management).
