Where You’ll Work
You’ll be based in South Manchester, supporting people in their own homes across Whitley Bay, Monksheaton and Cullercoats. We have opportunities for both drivers and walkers, depending on the area and rota.
Pay, Shift Pay Hours
We offer shift pay rather than pay-per-call, meaning you’re paid from the start of your first call to the end of your last call within a shift.
- £***** p/hr – drivers
- £***** p/hr – walkers
- Mileage: 45p per mile for drivers, 20p per mile for cyclists
Shift patterns (2-week rota):
- Early shift: 7:00am – 2:00pm
- Late shift: 4:00pm – 10:00pm
- Weekends: Alternate full weekends, or every Saturday or every Sunday
Job Description
If you have previous experience as a carer for family or friends, you’ll make an excellent Care Assistant in North Tyneside. As a Care Assistant with Be Caring, you will:
- Support people to achieve their personal outcomes, working alongside families and professionals
- Provide dignified personal care that respects privacy and choice
- Promote independence and confidence using enabling approaches
- Deliver personalised care based on individual needs, choices, and preferences
- Communicate clearly, recording and sharing information with the right people at the right time
- Help people stay connected to their community, accessing local services and support
Induction Training
You’ll receive comprehensive paid induction training, including:
- Be Caring values, going Above Beyond to meet personal outcomes.
- Dignity and respect, safeguarding and equality and diversity
- Confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Fluids and nutrition and safe administration of medication.
- Moving and positioning, basic life support, and pressure sores (React to Red)
- Infection prevention and control, health and safety.
- Learning Disabilities (Oliver McGowan Tier 1), mental health and capacity.
