LIFE by Be Caring is recruiting compassionate, skilled and values-driven Support Workers to join our specialist Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and Complex Care services across Newcastle and Gateshead. These are active, rewarding roles where you'll be part of structured, person-centred support packages - helping people to live safely, confidently and meaningfully in their communities.

  • Current Vacancies:
  • Female Support Worker - NE13
    12-hour shifts (06:45 - 18:45) £13.30 per hour
    For this role, we are recruiting a part-time female driver (applicants must be over 25, with a manual driving licence and comfortable driving a motability car).
  • Female Outreach Support Worker - Heaton, Newcastle
    Hours to be discussed £12.75 per hour
    We are seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Female Outreach Support Worker to join a small, dedicated team supporting a young woman who is moving into her own flat in Heaton, Newcastle.
  • Full-Time Male Support Worker (Independent Supported Living) - NE3 area
    Supporting a client with Williams Syndrome and a Learning Disability £12.75 per hour 24-hour shifts (including a Sleep In).
  • Experienced Support Worker - Holmes Close
    £13.30 per hour
    Holmes Close is a specialist supported living service compromising of five bungalows, supporting up to 14 residents.

About the Clients:

  • The female client enjoys having a laugh and friendly banter with her support team. She enjoys NUFC, watching soaps, listening to music and reality TV. She likes getting out and about, including visits to her caravan during the summer as well as trips to Kielder (Calvert Trust).
  • The young lady has a Learning Disability, Autism and ADHD and is looking for support to help her develop independence, build confidence, and enjoy the activities she loves.
  • The gentleman enjoys going out into the community, meeting new people, and participating in activities. His interests include drama, animals and crafts.

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience working in care and support.
  • A caring, compassionate, and respectful approach.
  • Strong values that promote dignity, choice, inclusion, and independence.
  • Experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and/or Mental Health needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
