Be a Care-Giving Day-Maker - Join our dedicated community team today! We are recruiting Care Assistants to provide care and support to people living in:
- NE3 (Fawdon, Kenton, Montague Estate, South Gosforth)
- NE2 (Jesmond)
- NE7 (Heaton and High Heaton)
- NE13 (Brunswick Village and Dinnington Village)
If you are the kind of person that can make people smile while visiting them in their home, then a Care Assistant with Be Caring could be the right fit for you. You do not need a degree or care qualifications to be a Care Assistant, but you will need the right values. Each day is varied, and you will need to have a can-do attitude.
Please note: due to the personal nature of the support, this role is open to female applicants only (in line with the Equality Act 2010).
Pay: £13.30 p/hr (drivers)
Bonus schemes: up to £300 new starter, up to £300 Refer a Friend, up to £400 annual bonus, £25 birthday gift voucher
Working hours: Full time and Part-time hours available. Your working hours will be aligned to our shift patterns, with a 2-week rota, which includes early & late shift working and alternate weekends:
- Early Shift: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Late shift: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care that protects people's dignity.
- Promote independence using enabling approaches.
- Support people to meet their outcomes, involving families and professionals.
- Connect people to their communities accessing local support and services.
- Deliver personalised care through individual choice and control.
- Be a strong and effective communicator, documenting, reporting, and sharing information with the right people at the right time.
Induction Training: We are looking for people with Be Caring values to join our team. For this role you do not need care experience, we recognise you will have many transferable skills from previous roles, for example as a shop assistant. We will provide you with the training you need to be an outstanding Care Assistant.
Be Caring values: going Above & Beyond to meet personal outcomes, dignity and respect, safeguarding and equality and diversity, confidentiality and professional boundaries, fluids and nutrition and safe administration of medication, moving and positioning, basic life support, and pressure sores (React to Red), infection prevention and control, health and safety, learning disabilities (Oliver McGowan Tier 1), mental health and capacity.
