Where You'll Work

You’ll join a dedicated care team working across one or more local Leeds neighbourhoods, supporting people in their own homes in:

  • LS27: Morley
  • LS26: Rothwell
  • LS10: Hunslet, Middleton
  • LS13: Bramley
  • LS14: Armley and Pudsey
  • LS12: Farnley
  • LS15: Killingbeck
  • LS11: Beeston
  • L2S8: Pudsey

You’ll need to be a driver, with access to your own car, so you can travel safely and reliably between visits.

Pay & Shift Patterns

We offer shift pay, not pay-per-call - meaning you’re paid continuously from your first visit to your last.

  • £13.30 p/hr – Drivers
  • Mileage: 45p/mile (drivers)
  • Part-time & full-time hours available
  • Shift patterns (2-week rota):
    • Early shift: 7:00am – 2:00pm
    • Late shift: 3:30pm – 10:00pm
    • Alternate full weekends, or every Saturday or every Sunday

What you’ll do

Whether you’re new to care or have supported others before, if you’re caring, dependable and people-focused, you’ll feel at home at Be Caring Leeds. As a Care Assistant, you will:

  • Support people to achieve their goals and maintain independence
  • Provide safe, dignified personal care
  • Work in partnership with families and professionals
  • Record and share information clearly and accurately
  • Help people stay connected to their community and everyday life

Every visit is a chance to help someone feel safe, happy and as independent as possible.

Induction & Training

Your paid induction will give you plenty of time to find your feet. You’ll spend one week in the classroom (Monday–Friday) learning the essentials, including two days shadowing with experienced colleagues out in the community, and additional elearning modules. You will receive comprehensive training on:

  • Be Caring values & going Above and Beyond
  • Safeguarding, dignity, respect & equality
  • Confidentiality & professional boundaries
  • Medication, fluids and nutrition
  • Moving & positioning, basic life support, pressure area care
  • Infection prevention, health & safety
  • Learning disabilities (Oliver McGowan Tier 1), mental health & capacity
