The predicted salary is between 22000 - 27000 £ per year.

Position: Trainer (Development pathway available)

Salary: £26,000 - £27,810 (depending on experience and qualifications). Salary will increase in April 2026 in line with our annual uplift.

Location: Liverpool (with occasional cover in Manchester and very occasional travel to Yorkshire for meetings)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Must have full UK drivers license and access to a vehicle. Applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK – we are unable to offer sponsorship.

Development Pathway

We welcome applications from those who are building their training experience as well as experienced trainers. For candidates developing their skills, we offer a Development Trainer pathway with structured support to achieve the full Trainer role within 18 months.

Where You’ll Work

You’ll be based in Liverpool, delivering training to our care teams across the city. Occasionally, you’ll provide cover in Manchester or travel to Yorkshire for team meetings and training events.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Liverpool Trainer, you will:

  • Deliver engaging bi‑weekly inductions that prepare new starters to deliver compassionate, confident care
  • Provide update training, refreshers, and ongoing development for our care teams
  • Use a mix of classroom‑based training, e‑learning, and shadowing to suit different learning styles
  • Assess knowledge and skills against Care Certificate and CQC fundamental standards
  • Support colleagues’ individual learning journeys – celebrating progress and addressing gaps
  • Work with the Service Manager to spot trends and deliver targeted training that promotes best practice
  • Maintain excellent training compliance, keeping records up‑to‑date through our IT systems
  • Deliver community‑based training, coaching and best‑practice observations
  • Attend company‑wide training meetings, contributing your expertise and ideas
  • Develop training materials and share your knowledge with other trainers
  • Stay current with legislation, best practice, and the health and social care training agenda

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Experience of delivering care and support services to individuals
  • Evidence of completing care and support training yourself
  • A genuine passion for developing others and improving care quality
  • Strong communication and ICT skills

Preferable:

  • Experience delivering training, workshops, mentoring or coaching in health or social care
  • Knowledge of CQC, HSE, Skills for Care requirements
  • Professional body memberships or Train the Trainer qualifications
