We’re recruiting Care Assistants across several areas in North Tyneside, with a mix of full‑time and part‑time roles available.

As a Care Assistant, you’ll support people to live independently at home with dignity, choice and compassion. We’re currently seeking Care Assistants to support people living in Killingworth and Longbenton. Pay, Hours & Bonuses

  • We offer block pay (not pay per call) – you’re paid from the start of your first visit to the end of your last visit within a shift.
  • (drivers) £12.25 per hour
  • (walkers) mileage: 45p per mile (drivers) / 20p per mile (walkers)
  • Full‑time & part‑time hours available (role dependent)

About the Role

You don’t need previous care experience – if you’ve cared for family, friends, or simply have the right values, we’ll give you all the training and support you need. As a Care Assistant with Be Caring, you will:

  • Support people to meet their personal outcomes
  • Promote independence using enabling approaches
  • Deliver personalised care based on choice and control
  • Provide personal care that protects dignity
  • Communicate effectively with families, professionals, and colleagues
  • Record and share information accurately and on time
  • Help people stay connected to their communities

Working Patterns

All roles follow agreed shift patterns:

  • Early shift: 7:00am – 2:00pm
  • Late shift: 4:00pm – 10:00pm

You’ll work on a 2‑week rota, including:

  • Alternate weekends or Every Saturday or every Sunday
  • Evenings agreed within your contracted hours
