Make a Difference in Your Community – Join Be Caring as a Full-Time Care Worker

Are you someone who naturally cares for others – perhaps a friend, neighbour or family member? Why not use your experience to support people across your local community, with full training, stable hours, and meaningful work you’ll feel proud of?

Be Caring is recruiting:

  • 4 x Female Drivers
  • 2 x Female Walkers
  • Covering areas across Newcastle, including: Fawdon, Gosforth, Kenton, Heaton, North Jesmond and Dinnington (NE2, NE3, NE7, NE13).

  • We pay fairly for your time: No pay-per-call here! You’re paid for the full block, from the first call to the last.
  • £12.82/hr (Drivers) | £12.25/hr (Walkers)
  • 45p per mile for drivers & 20p per mile for cyclists

  • Flexible full-time hours

Working Hours

Your working hours will be aligned with our shift patterns, which include early starts, late evenings and weekend working:

  • Early shift: 7:00am – 3:00pm
  • Late shift: 3:00pm – 11:00pm
  • We’ll agree your working pattern together, setting a 2 week rota which includes:
  • Alternate full weekends
  • Every Saturday or every Sunday
  • Agreed evening availability

You’ll support people in your local community to:

  • Live independently and confidently
  • Stay connected with others
  • Achieve meaningful personal outcomes
  • Stay safe, respected, and well-cared for
  • Whether it’s helping with medication, preparing meals, assisting with personal care, or being a friendly face, you’ll be making a real difference every single day.

No Experience? No Problem.

Whether your brand new to care or returning after caring for someone close to you, we provide comprehensive training:

  • 1 week classroom-based induction
  • 2 days shadowing with experienced colleagues
  • Ongoing online learning modules
  • You’ll also gain training in:
  • Mental health and capacity (Oliver McGowan Tier 1)
  • Moving and positioning
  • Medication and nutrition
  • Dignity, respect, and professional boundaries
