User-Centered Design (UCD) Consultant - 3 month fixed term contract
The Challenge:
We are looking for an established designer to provide user-centered design expertise to a variety of projects at Satellite Applications Catapult over the next three months. Travel to the office twice a week or client sites will be required where necessary.
Key focus/responsibilities:
- Scope, plan and deliver user research and service design projects.
- Design and facilitate stakeholder workshops.
- Carry out synthesis and analysis of user research and communicate this to relevant stakeholders in order to inform evidence-based decisions.
- Manage internal and stakeholder engagement, e.g. liaising with the Mission, other teams and collaborators, customers and end user-communities.
- Collaborate with other UCD team members to deliver above ensuring outputs and outcomes meet the expected standard (using UCD review process).
- Participate in UCD team meetings.
Specific Projects:
- User requirements definition for an internal project engaging with train operators, rolling stock companies, equipment service providers and end users.
- Support to internal project to review and advise on stakeholder engagement and workshop strategy.
- There may be a requirement to support other connectivity related projects as time and priorities dictate.
