We are looking for a Junior Consultant to join our small but growing team. This is an ideal entry point for someone who wants to apply their analytical skills to meaningful public sector challenges and help governments use technology and data for the public good. We are growing our team and looking to hire a couple of exceptional candidates at the beginning of their career.

This role will suit candidates who have an interest in developing skills in the following areas:

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of consulting projects, including desk research, data collection, and analysis
  • Conduct qualitative research including stakeholder interviews and focus groups
  • Draft sections of reports, briefings, and client presentations
  • Contribute to proposal writing and business development activities
  • Support the team with project administration and coordination
  • Participate in OI's internal research agenda and knowledge sharing

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to synthesise complex information clearly
  • Interest in government, public policy, or digital transformation
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Collaborative approach and willingness to learn

Salary and benefits:

  • Salary: £30,500 per annum.
  • Health: Private health insurance provided as standard.
  • Leave: 35 days, including a 2 week shutdown over Christmas.
  • Flexible: Access to office space across the UK.
  • Contract: Permanent.
