The Opportunity: We're recruiting an Investment Associate to support the identification, assessment and management of social impact investments that change lives, working alongside investors, social enterprises and government to help grow the UK's social impact investment market.
What you will do:
- Support the origination and assessment of new investments
- Help identify social issues and market gaps where impact investment can be part of the solution
- Support detailed investment analysis of the market, the prospective investee, and the financial, social impact and systems change cases
- Support the structuring of prospective investments
- Contribute to systems change
- Support the performance management and manager relationships for a portfolio of social impact investments
- Contribute to portfolio‑level and asset class‑level performance monitoring
- Help shape the next phase of our market‑leading impact investment approach and team
- Participate in at least one ‘BSC Citizenship’ activity
What you will bring - Qualifications & Experience:
- A passion and demonstrable commitment to improving lives in the UK
- Experience undertaking and communicating detailed analysis of complex problems
- Work experience that faces the financial, social or public sector
- Proven relationship‑building and influencing skills
- Work experience in social impact investment
- Knowledge of housing or real estate, venture investment, social outcomes contracts or lending
