Location: Hybrid · United Kingdom (multiple locations) including York, Bristol, Swindon, Manchester, London, Portsmouth, Cambridge, Birmingham. We offer hybrid working where you will be based in the office and from home.
We are the public body that looks after England’s historic environment. We champion historic places, helping people understand, value, and care for them. Historic England has a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our Head of Health & Safety. This is a Full Time, Permanent post.
The location of this role is national, with hybrid working arrangements. You will be based in one of our offices in Manchester, Birmingham, Swindon, London, Portsmouth (Fort Cumberland), or Cambridge, and work from home. What you will be doing:
- Provide expert advice and leadership in operational risk management covering health, safety, fire, security, and emergency planning risks.
- Develop, communicate, review, and maintain policies and standards to ensure compliance with laws and best practices.
- Proactively advise those responsible for operational risk controls and ensure systems are in place for effective dissemination of legislation, regulations, guidance, and practices related to health & safety risk management.
