Unifrog’s mission

We’re on a mission to level the playing field when it comes to young people finding and applying for their next step after school. We're achieving this by bringing all the available information into one single, impartial, user-friendly platform that helps students to make the best choices, and submit the strongest applications. We also empower teachers and counsellors to manage the progression process effectively.

Our outlook is global - we work with schools and universities all over the world, from the US to New Zealand, and from Italy to Hong Kong. We want to make it so that young people can compare every opportunity taught in English, wherever it is in the world, and have all the support they need to make successful applications.

We have a clear social purpose, and we’re hugely ambitious. We already work with over half of UK secondary schools, and more than a thousand international schools. We are growing rapidly in terms of the number of our customers, in terms of how much they use our platform, and in terms of the breadth of products we offer (check out this video to hear more about the Unifrog platform).

Our team is at the heart of our business and it is integral to our success. We work hard to foster a culture of openness, happiness and innovation, and we commit to helping every individual learn and grow so that they can reach their full potential. We want to hire talented people, whatever their background. If you are excited by our mission and are ready to work hard, please don’t hesitate to apply. We look forward to hearing from you!

We believe in the power of diversity. If you are from an ethnic minority background, we would like to strongly encourage you to apply. In advance of applying if you have any questions about working at Unifrog, please contact recruitment@unifrog.org .

Events at Unifrog

Whether we’re hosting our annual conference for 300 teachers and advisors in the UK, delivering networking events for international school counselors across the world, or bringing together professionals from across the university and employer sectors to provide them with networking opportunities and unique insights into our student audience, we strive to make our events as engaging and useful as possible.

All events at Unifrog are created to best support students, teachers, and careers advisors in key stages throughout the academic year:

Our virtual student fairs give students the opportunity to hear from and interact with some of the top universities and employers around the world.

Unifrog networking events include opportunities for teachers and international school counselors to have one-to-one conversations with university representatives. They also give teachers the chance to ask specific questions that are relevant to their students.

In addition to our virtual events, we run in-person events across the UK to give teachers and our university and employer partners the chance to have direct interaction through exhibitor stands and live sessions.

In addition, Unifrog’s partner-facing teams attend external conferences and events across the globe to network with partners and prospective partners. The Events team makes sure they have all the conference kit and marketing materials they need to be successful.

What you’ll do

As Events Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the team to make sure all our events are delivered to the highest standard. You’ll be working closely alongside our Events Manager (Virtual events) as part of our growing Marketing team to make sure all our events help students to make informed decisions about their next steps.

This six-month paid internship is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their experience in events. You'll get hands‑on experience supporting a busy events programme, learn how we plan and deliver virtual and in‑person events, and take on real responsibility from the start. We'll support you to develop your skills throughout the internship.

Virtual events

Work alongside the Event Manager, the main point of contact for Unifrog’s virtual events, including webinar series, university fairs and networking events, to support the planning and delivery of these events.

Ensure the smooth running of our university fairs and networking events. Become an expert user of the SpotMe platform – send reminders of session start times, spark conversations on the chat function, support live sessions and solve any technical issues.

Work collaboratively with the UK and International teams to plan and upload teacher engagement webinars to the Unifrog platform and set them up on Zoom.

Act as a host for some of our events – run live sessions, field questions from participants, and facilitate discussions between our expert panelists.

Coordinate our webinar hosting team, allocating sessions throughout the year, ensuring hosts have up‑to‑date training and DBS checks, and troubleshooting technical issues on Zoom

On occasion, support the in‑person events team with event set‑up and pack‑down, including helping prepare and organise event equipment in the office ahead of events.

Provide support at in‑person events when needed, including welcoming attendees, assisting with registration, and answering questions.

Share ideas and feedback to help improve our in‑person events and ensure they provide value to our different audiences.

External conferences

Manage and support the logistics of our conference equipment and make sure equipment and materials are delivered to external conferences and returned to the office in time.

Help maintain our conference kit, including auditing equipment, coordinating orders for new items, and suggesting creative additions to help Unifrog stand out at conferences.

Other responsibilities

Support with our events@unifrog.org inbox to make sure all emails are responded to in a friendly and professional manner within 24 hours (excluding weekends and holidays).

Develop an in‑depth understanding of our different audiences.

Support the wider Marketing and Events team with ad‑hoc requests.

What we’re looking for

A positive and collaborative team player who enjoys working with colleagues and stakeholders, brings energy and enthusiasm to their work, and is excited to help deliver engaging virtual events. Some previous experience working collaboratively or supporting events would be beneficial.

Some experience of organising and delivering large‑scale events, for example through work, volunteering, university societies or other activities. Experience of virtual events would be a bonus, but isn’t essential.

Highly organised and happy to have responsibility for different projects and deadlines

High level of attention to detail

Excellent communication skills - both in person and written

Confident with Google sheets and docs as well as Zoom, and happy to learn new platforms such as SpotMe and Marcom (our virtual events platforms)

Comfortable working both as part of a team and independently, and able to take the initiative

An interest in the education sector

Proactive attitude and willingness to get stuck in. You need to be excited about going beyond the core responsibilities detailed above to improve what we do and make it a success

You don’t necessarily need experience of similar roles to apply – if you don’t have relevant experience, we look for readiness and ability to learn. If you’re unsure, please feel free to get in touch.

You will be joining a team of highly motivated people who are passionate about our mission of helping students to find the best next step for them after school. If this excites you, you love organising events, and are an energetic person who is willing to learn, then we’d love to hear from you.

Working together

You’ll regularly be working with:

The Events team, including our Events Managers and Events Assistant

The wider Marketing team, including our Marketing Leads

Our Head of Marketing and Events

Our partner‑facing teams: Higher Education, Employer, UK schools, and International schools teams

You’ll be line‑managed by Unifrog’s Events Manager (virtual events).
