BDS are currently recruiting for a Telecare Field Technician to work for a emergency response service in the Wakefield area.
As a Telecare Field Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering telecare support to customers in their own homes and supported housing.
Fitting/replacing or repairing equipment.
This is a field-based, lone-working role operating on a Monday to Friday role, with added on call shifts worked on a rota basis (including nights and weekends).
- What You Will Be Doing
- Going out daily to install, repair or replace telecare equipment.
- Providing calm, empathetic reassurance and support explaining how to use the equipment.
- Assessing situations and taking appropriate action in line with procedures and training.
- Accurately updating service user records and documentation using our systems.
- Working safely and independently while remaining connected to the wider team.
- What We Are Looking For
- A caring and calm approach, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
- Confidence working independently in a lone-working, field-based role.
- Willingness to work a rolling rota including nights, weekends and bank holidays.
- Full UK driving license. Company vehicle is provided.
- Basic IT skills and attention to detail when recording information.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
- 9am till 5pm Mon to Friday and 9am to 4.30pm on a Friday
- Temp to perm
- You must be a driver with access to a vehicle
