BDS Recruitment are working with a Local Authority for a Senior Surveyor to work across the Ipswich area. This is a permanent opportunity with a salary of £50,000 per annum. This is a Hybrid working role – 2 days at office and 3 days (home working).

Responsibilities

  • Act as one of the Building Surveyors, accountable for delivery of various work streams and managing a team of surveyors.
  • Ensure all performance and service targets are met within the Building Surveying Service and develop staff to their full potential.
  • Ensure all activity is completed to the standards expected.
  • Examples of surveying work include surveying housing defects, managing damp and mould in line with Awaabs Law, party wall agreements, tenant own improvements, disrepair claims, boundary wall disputes, energy performance certificates, improvements and planned surveys, designing and specifying works, project managing work, feasibility studies, stock condition, and managing an adaptations service.

Qualifications

  • A degree qualification and/or membership of a relevant professional organisation or qualitative experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of Building Surveying and Building Regulations.
