BDS Recruitment are currently looking for a Youth Development Worker to work within the St Austell area. We are looking for someone innovative and creative in their ways of working who has the ability to engage with a range of young people. The role will be based in supported accommodation for young people aged 16-25.

Main duties will include:

  • Provide one-to-one key worker support to young people aged 16–25.
  • Develop and review support and action plans tailored to individual goals.
  • Update and manage risk assessments and risk management plans.
  • Support young people with tenancy and housing management.
  • Assist with benefits applications (e.g., Universal Credit, PIP, Housing Benefit).
  • Guide young people in budgeting, paying bills, and managing finances.
  • Explore and support pathways into education, training, and employment.
  • Collaborate with external agencies (mental health, domestic violence services, landlords, etc.).
  • Help young people prepare for independent living and successful move-on.

Hours per week: 37 hours on a Rota pattern. Contract: Temp ongoing role. Pay rate: £15.34ph paye or £19.90 umbrella. Please note you will require your own transport for this role and any mileage will be paid at 45p per mile. Apply now for immediate consideration.
