BDS Recruitment are working with a London based housing association to recruit a Solicitor on an initial 6 month basis. This role offers a hybrid approach and rates start at 65 per hour Umbrella.
Duties:
- Provide expert legal advice, guidance, and case support on all housing disrepair matters to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, cost-effective resolution of disputes, and excellent outcomes for residents.
- Review cases, advising on strengths, risks, quantum, and settlement terms, ensuring alignment with policy and legal requirements.
- Lead on the development and dissemination of best practice in disrepair case management.
- Support and guide caseworkers to ensure procedural compliance, cost-effectiveness, and customer-focused solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative changes and case law affecting housing disrepair, and brief the business accordingly.
Criteria:
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with current practising certificate (England).
