BDS are currently recruiting for a Sheltered Housing Manager for a retirement living service based in Epping. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:
- Supported or retirement housing
- Liaising with external providers
- Assessing potential tenants
You will provide daily communication with the residents, who live independently within the Schemes. You will be responsible for assessing residents' daily needs, completing support plans and signposting information, whilst liaising with in-house support workers on a daily basis to ensure a continued smooth service. You will also report repairs and complete Health and Safety Checks and be in charge of the running of the Scheme as a whole, delivering a constant high service at all times. Ensuring the scheme is maintained and developing strong links within the local community are all key aspects of the role. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for resident engagement and involvement and promoting the scheme as a vital local resource.
This is a full-time position of 36 hours a week working Monday to Friday. This is a temporary position with the chance of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
Rate of pay: £15.49 Per Hour PAYE, £20.00 UMB.

- Must be able to work on own initiative
- Must be computer literate
- Must be able to easily learn new systems
- Excellent customer service
- Previous housing experience preferred
- Previous experience of working with older people preferred
