BDS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Housing Support Worker based in Greater Manchester. This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, temp ongoing in the first instance. A great opportunity to work for a leading housing charity where you will be working with vulnerable people helping them with support around housing applications, tenancies and job and education opportunities.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.
Payrate: £12.24ph – £13.24 PAYE or £15.74ph – £17.06 Umbrella.
Key Duties- To complete a support plan with each tenant detailing elements of support required for their tenancy to be maintained.
- Signposting information.
- To work alongside each individual in understanding how best to provide support through a risk assessment process to highlight any risks to themselves, their tenancy, or others.
- To provide information, advice, and guidance to enable tenants to understand their responsibilities and support them to develop effective strategies to manage those responsibilities.
- Previous experience within housing or supported accommodation is somewhat beneficial but full training will be provided.
- A background supporting people and strong customer service skills are welcomed.
- You will also need to have access to your own vehicle to work around the local area and any mileage is charged at 45p per mile.
