BDS are seeking a dedicated and organised HR assistant in South Manchester.

This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in human resources or with experience in recruitment or administration.

This role will involve assisting the team with processing basic DBS checks, along with providing administrative support and project work across a variety of aspects of HR.

The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative background, knowledge of onboarding and recruitment processes, and strong communication skills, along with the ability to work well with internal stakeholders.

The is a full time temporary ongoing role to start asap working Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.

  • Pay starts from £15.14 PAYE plus holiday pay or £19.53 Umbrella Duties
  • Ensuring basic DBS checks are processed accurately, efficiently and within required timescales.
  • Maintaining accurate records of DBS applications and outcomes.
  • Building and developing strong working relationships with colleagues across the business to ensure effective and timely basic DBS checks are completed.
  • Handling sensitive data in line with company data protection policies and procedures.
  • Support the wider people team with administrative tasks and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with each task in line with GDPR, equality, diversity and health and safety requirements. Criteria
  • Proven previous experience in administration within a busy office environment.
  • Recruitment/Onboarding experience is desirable.
  • Good organisational, time management and planning skills.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail-oriented, process-driven and methodical.
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Office and ideally experience with ATS or HRIS systems; confident in handling data and producing management information reports.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, apply GDPR principles and manage a defined workload.
