BDS Recruitment are working with a Local Authority for a Senior Surveyor to work across the Ipswich area. This is a permanent opportunity with a salary of £50,000 per annum. This is a Hybrid working role – 2 days at office and 3 days (home working).
Responsibilities
- Act as one of the Building Surveyors, accountable for delivery of various work streams and managing a team of surveyors.
- Ensure all performance and service targets are met within the Building Surveying Service and develop staff to their full potential.
- Ensure all activity is completed to the standards expected.
- Examples of surveying work include:
- Surveying housing defects
- Managing damp and mould in line with Awaabs Law
- Party wall agreements
- Tenant own improvements
- Disrepair claims
- Boundary wall disputes
- Energy performance certificates
- Improvements and planned surveys
- Designing and specifying works
- Project managing work
- Feasibility studies
- Stock condition
- Managing an adaptations service
Qualifications
- A degree qualification and/or membership of a relevant professional organisation or qualitative experience.
- Detailed knowledge of Building Surveying and Building Regulations.
