BDS are currently looking for supported Housing Workers to work within Sunderland.

The role will be to work as part of a team managing a small portfolio of properties and tenancies within an allocated area.

You will work closely with a small group of people to provide an intense housing management service.

Your duties will include:

  • Supporting tenants to manage their tenancy and assist with benefits claims
  • Signposting to relevant organisations
  • Ensuring the correct tenancies are issued and ensuring the tenant understands and accepts the tenancy obligations
  • Maximising rent collection and adhering to the arrears management policies and procedures
  • Adhoc duties within your remit

The ideal candidate will have previous housing experience, including working with vulnerable adults and children as well as dealing with tenancy-related issues.

You will be required to have an enhanced DBS Certificate dated in the previous 12 months or on the update service.

You will be required to have a full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle and business insurance.

Pay: £13.54 PAYE or £17.69 Umbrella

9am - 5pm Mon-Fri, 40 working hours, 35 paid, 5 hours lunch unpaid

These roles are temporary ongoing.
