BDS Recruitment are working with a leading national housing association for a building surveyor to work across the Cambridgeshire area. This is a temporary ongoing opportunity to start asap with a salary in circa of £30ph paye or £40ph umbrella.
The post holder will be responsible for managing a portfolio of properties, ensuring homes are safe, compliant and well maintained specialising in damp, mould, disrepair, and responsive repairs.
Criteria:- Experience in delivering high-quality inspections, technical reports, and end-to-end case management across occupied and void properties.
- Strong expertise in diagnosing complex building defects and resolving damp, mould, and condensation (DMC) issues.
- Experience delivering responsive repairs, voids, minor planned works, and adaptations in line with HHSRS, Awaab’s Law, Building Safety Regulations, and fire safety standards.
- Competent in conducting pre- and post-inspections, quality checks, and ensuring works meet required standards.
- Experienced in contractor management, overseeing performance, quality, cost control, and timely delivery of works.
- Understanding of building pathology, housing legislation, and health and safety compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, working collaboratively with residents, contractors, and housing teams.
