BDS currently have exciting opportunities for Youth Development Workers to join a well-established Housing Association in the Bideford area. The main focus of this role will be to work across the Bideford area supporting vulnerable service users based in a supported accommodation service for young people aged 16–25. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and review support and action plans tailored to individual goals. * Update and manage risk assessments and risk management plans. * Support young people with tenancy and housing management. * Assist with benefits applications (e.g., Universal Credit, PIP, Housing Benefit). * Explore and support pathways into education, training, and employment. * Collaborate with external agencies (mental health, domestic violence services, landlords, etc.). The ideal candidate will have: * A good understanding of young people’s needs, safeguarding and emotional and mental health issues. * An understanding of support needs and support planning. * An understanding risk assessing and risk management. Location; Working across the Bideford area Working Pattern; Monday- Friday – shift pattern working between the hours of 8am and 9pm This is a temp ongoing role to start ASAP Pay Rate; £15.34ph PAYE - £19.90ph Umbrella YOU MUST HOLD AN ENHANCED DBS CHECK WITH ADULT AND CHILD BARRING FROM THE LAST 12 MONTHS
