An exciting vacancy has arisen within our Supply Chain team for a Supply Chain Account Manager to join the friendly team and reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
The Person: We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, capable of working both individually and within a team, organised, and someone who has an excellent eye for detail. To be successful in your application you’ll need to demonstrate the following:
- Inventory management experience in a high SKU, complex environment
- Full understanding of ERP systems
- PC literate (medium/high) – with a good working knowledge of MS applications in particular Excel
- Highly literate and numerate
- Record of working with and developing suppliers
- Record of dealing with internal and external customers
- Background within inventory management environments and systems
- Pro-active approach and preventative engagement
The Role: The main purpose of this role is to carry out the following:
- Manage the demand and supply of a given range of global supplier products ensuring that product availability, stock value and stock turn are maintained at targeted levels
- Maintain and develop supplier and customer relationships to support stock and availability targets
- Actively contribute to planning improvement initiatives to ensure that an environment of continuous improvement is achieved
- Manage the Demand Planner forecasting and ERP planning system for the product range through data management and exception reports throughout the product life cycle
- Drive forecasting improvements via user knowledge
- Achieve targets for product availability, stock value and stock turn for products managed within supplier and product portfolio
- Utilise existing statistical forecasts together with additional market intelligence to ensure that product supply reflects internal and external customer requirements
