Overview: SSC Assistant role within BDO UK, based in Liverpool, England, United Kingdom. The Tax team is part of the Shared Service Centre (SSC) and provides internal support to client-facing teams across the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting BDO Tax stream with Personal, Corporate and Employment Tax processes.
- Preparation of UK tax returns for individual clients.
- Provide support with ad hoc administrative tasks including reporting and forecasting for seasonal periods and seeking regular feedback from requesters upon job completion.
- Deal with general administrative duties, as requested.
What you’ll do to succeed:
- Be proactive in managing your tasks and collaborating with others.
- Communicate regularly with Senior Managers, Directors, and BDO’s Partners to support businesses effectively.
- Identify opportunities to enhance delivery and provide additional services to organisations we work with.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A background in a finance or accounting role is desirable.
- IT skills, including knowledge of MS Office and similar desktop applications; willingness to learn new systems.
- Excellent time management, organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
