Our Tax team is friendly, driven, and diverse, servicing clients across the country and around the world. By providing expertise in many different specialist areas of tax, they collaborate across BDO to deliver wider business solutions. You'll be providing Tax Advisory services to start-ups, scale-ups, private businesses, and FTSE listed multinationals. Each of our clients has different needs, and applying your expertise in different contexts will develop your skills and gain valuable experience throughout your career.
The tax team based in the Leeds office is 60 strong, with a corporate tax team led by three partners who have an extensive network and client base across Yorkshire and the North East of England, nationally and internationally. The corporate tax team plays a fundamental role in leading trusted relationships with a variety of exciting businesses to deliver the holistic tax service BDO in Leeds is known for.
This role will be leading the tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients, with a particular emphasis on large and complex corporates with international footprints and private equity backed portfolio businesses. Services include tax strategy and governance, tax due diligence, tax structuring, corporate international advice, and more.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing Tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients.
- Managing a substantial portfolio of clients including control of client take on and engagement, billings, and identification of opportunities to improve recoveries.
- Developing professional relationships with clients and within the Firm.
- Supporting, training, mentoring, and advising more junior colleagues.
- Challenging current practice – driving improvements and championing change.
We're looking for someone with:
- An in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of taxation with corporation tax specialist knowledge.
- Project and staff management experience.
- Experience of dealing with client senior management.
- CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent.
- Demonstrable post-qualified experience.
