As a member of the Reward & Recognition team, you will act as a key liaison across the business, partnering closely with HR Managers and leaders across the organisation to build reward capability, identify risks, and support informed decision-making on pay and incentives. Your work will be varied and span the full breadth of our compensation remit, including:

  • Designing and implementing systems and processes
  • Developing analytics to assess the impact of our offerings on our diversity and inclusion agenda
  • Supporting the design and roll-out of innovative solutions

You will have the opportunity to lead projects, use your initiative to shape your work, identify opportunities, recommend solutions, manage delivery, and build strong relationships within and beyond HR. You will work closely with Reward colleagues, HR generalists, the Shared Services Centre, the Workday team, Wellbeing, and other Centres of Excellence to establish new processes and streamline existing ones in support of BDO’s business growth objectives.

You’ll also:

  • Develop, socialise and execute recommendations that deliver the firm’s objectives in conjunction with the needs of individual business areas
  • Lead the annual pay review cycles, including salary benchmarking, modelling and affordability analysis, ensuring accuracy, effective governance, and timely communication for your business areas
  • Design and manage pay frameworks, salary benchmarking processes, and job evaluation systems to ensure fairness, consistency and competitiveness across the organisation
  • Use data and analytics to monitor reward effectiveness, identify trends and opportunities, and provide insight driven recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Review processes, methods and tools and recommend changes to enable effective and efficient information flow
  • Work closely with our internal communications team, develop engaging communications to bring our reward to life ensuring colleagues and leaders understand our offer and value their total reward
  • Build project plans for identified initiatives and collaborate with other COEs to deliver
  • Develop and continuously examine BDO’s reward information and available tools
  • Deliver solutions that are aligned to the firm’s goals around maintaining high quality goals as set by our regulator
  • Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of reward, ensuring fairness and transparency at every level
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to leaders to equip them to have meaningful conversations on all aspects of pay, reward and recognition, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

You’ll be someone with:

  • Compensation experience, and an understanding of benefits
  • Strong knowledge of reward strategy, pay benchmarking, and job evaluation frameworks
  • Excellent analytical skills & business acumen
  • Project coordination and experience managing ambiguous projects
  • The ability to manage stakeholders and align expectations effectively
  • Strong collaboration and organisational skills
  • Proficient user of MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience of complex modelling (such as pay and bonus modelling) and statistical analysis using Excel preferred
  • Experiences with Compensation tools. Workday knowledge is an advantage
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience (desirable)
  • Project management experience in reward (desirable)
  • Sound understanding of employment legislation (desirable)
