You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working pro-actively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be a data, analytics and AI specialist Senior Analyst who has strong technical skills and experience delivering data-led solutions within consulting or project environments. You’ll work confidently with complex data, translate business requirements into practical outputs and communicate insights clearly, supported by strong problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity and an agile outlook. You’ll work with structured datasets and support data discovery, profiling, testing, reconciliation and evidence collection with support.
You’ll be someone with:
- Some experience working with data through employment, an internship, placement, academic study or personal projects, with an interest in data assurance, data quality or data risk.
- Ability to work with structured datasets and support data discovery, profiling, testing, reconciliation and evidence collection under guidance.
- A foundational understanding of data quality dimensions such as completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness, validity and uniqueness.
- Practical skills in Excel and experience of, or an interest in developing, SQL, Python, cloud data platforms and analytics or visualisation tools.
- Ability to follow defined test procedures, document work clearly, maintain accurate evidence and escalate unexpected results or data issues.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate anomalies and contribute to identifying their underlying causes.
- An interest in data flows, lineage, governance, metadata, regulatory reporting, privacy and model or AI-related data risks.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively, manage assigned tasks and contribute to high-quality client deliverables.
