Manager Business Restructuring

The purpose of this role is to proactively manage smaller personal insolvency projects or distinct elements of larger assignments with limited input from senior colleagues, while also providing guidance and support to junior team members.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to further develop their technical and accountancy expertise through hands-on experience, professional training, and exposure to a diverse portfolio of restructuring engagements, including Corporate assignments. In addition, the candidate will spend a portion of their time increasing revenues for the department from their referral sources principally in personal insolvency but also in Corporate assignments as the opportunity arises.

Reporting to a Senior Manager, Director, or Partner on specific assignments, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality client service, maintaining compliance and risk standards, and contributing to the continued growth of the Business Restructuring practice. The Business Restructuring team works on a wide variety of dynamic projects across both insolvency and advisory services, providing constant exposure to new challenges and opportunities for career development.

This role requires a strong understanding of personal insolvency procedures from appointment through to closure, with particular emphasis on:

• Sequestrations
• Trust Deeds
• Debt Arrangement Schemes

Experience in contingency planning, options reviews, and financial modelling would be advantageous. The successful candidate will understand key compliance and risk requirements and be able to produce high-quality reports and documentation suitable for Director or Partner review. Strong technical skills, including proficiency in IPS, Excel, and PowerPoint, will be essential.

You will be responsible for progressing an insolvency caseload, working closely with senior colleagues, and supporting the development of junior team members. You’ll be someone with:

• Experience within a personal/corporate insolvency, restructuring, or recovery environment.
• Strong understanding of personal/corporate insolvency procedures, particularly Sequestrations, Trust Deeds and DAS.
• Up-to-date knowledge of insolvency legislation, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Excellent written and numerical skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
