We work with the companies that are Britain’s economic engine – ambitious, entrepreneurially-spirited and high‑growth businesses that fuel the economy - and directly advise the owners and management teams that lead them.

Working, achieving, and thriving together, our Tax team move with every challenge. Friendly, driven and diverse, they service our clients across the country and around the world. By providing expertise in many different specialist areas of tax, they collaborate across BDO to deliver wider business solutions. From meeting clients’ evolving business needs to managing changes to legislation, there are always fresh challenges to face in the Tax team. Tax is a dynamic, ever-changing industry. As our clients’ needs and the regulatory environment evolve, you’ll encounter new problems to solve and new opportunities for growth.

Whether it’s advising clients on high-profile specialisms like Corporation Tax or leading the implementation of intelligent technology solutions, you’ll enjoy variety as well as stretch in your role. You’ll be providing Tax Advisory services to start-ups and scale-ups, to private businesses and FTSE listed multinationals. Leading organisations trust us because of the quality of our advice. That quality grows from a thorough understanding of their business, and that understanding comes from working closely with them and building long-lasting relationships.

You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. As market leaders, the award-winning Real Estate & Construction tax team at BDO serves a wide and exciting range of domestic and international companies with UK operations. It’s your chance to experience a focused and unique blend of the highest level of technical expertise along with extensive experience in commercial transactions.

With a focus on continuing development and exposure to clients and senior partners, you'll have all the freedom you need to grow your career. This role will provide corporate tax compliance, advisory and accounting services to a range of clients from small start-ups to major multinationals, predominantly within the real estate and construction sector. Working, and developing relationships, with clients to advise on corporate tax planning and restructuring projects in the UK, as well as producing complex UK tax computations and returns.

An understanding of and previous experience within UK corporate tax compliance is required. Some experience of providing corporate tax advisory and compliance services to primarily corporate groups, but may include partnership tax returns and non-resident landlord income tax returns is also necessary. A keenness to develop a career within the real estate profession and some experience of dealing with client senior management and key stakeholders is essential.
