Our focus on delivering quality audit work for the benefit of the public interest is our key priority. Our Audit teams are essential, not just to BDO, but to the whole economy.

This is an exciting opportunity to drive a key programme supporting the delivery of our larger, more complex and multiple component audits. We are looking for a project manager who is passionate about project management, can drive a culture of change and accountability, and can actively manage large complex audits with strategic and/or commercial impact.

In this role you’ll:

  • Be responsible for overseeing and project managing designated key audits.
  • Co‑ordinate projects and liaise with other team members to ensure that relevant parties are engaged during the project.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be responsible for managing inboxes & calendars to drive organisation and structure.
  • Work with the appropriate stakeholders to establish and monitor engagement strategies, milestones, key deliverables, management information, and board reports.
  • Monitor progress against agreed parameters and associated project plans, identify key risks, resolve issues, and initiate timely corrective action.
  • Provide both internal and external parties with regular progress/status reports.
  • Exhibit great multitasking abilities and outstanding organisational skills.
  • Help partners and teams reduce their workloads while enhancing morale and increasing productivity by bringing people together and creating strong rapport.
  • Create a culture of trust inside projects so that colleagues and entities being audited may discuss their needs and challenges.
  • Display outstanding stakeholder management abilities during audits, both internally and externally.
  • Gather data and identify trends and potential new opportunities.
  • Utilise more effective processes and systems to create coherent audits that satisfy the needs and requirements of our audited entities.
  • Drive a culture of accountability.
  • Actively seek input from all parties and conduct evaluations with BDO leadership.
  • Assist in driving results by supporting our audit teams' commercial management and KPI tracking.

You’ll be someone with:

  • Extensive experience in Programme Management role, together with a solid grasp of project management methodologies.
  • Professional services experience with a preference for Audit.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (knowledge of Workday or PowerBi an advantage).
  • Ability to coach others in project/programme management methodologies and work within our Project Management framework.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment of Audits and the working methods.

This role requires a minimum of three-days-a-week office attendance. We’re committed to agile working, and we offer everyone the opportunity to work in ways that suit them, their teams, and the task at hand.

Mutual support and respect are one of BDO’s core values and we’re proud of our distinctive, people-centred culture.
