Role Overview
The Lead Programme Manager will manage the dayâtoâday operations of the Learning Implementation team, a group of 5â6 people spread across the UK. The role involves strategic sourcing and management of external suppliers, oversight of the Learning Implementation calendar, and delivery of learning programmes for over 3,600 learners in both inâperson and virtual formats. The position is a fixedâterm contract for 18 months and can be based anywhere in the UK, with occasional travel to London and other offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic sourcing and management of external suppliers, establishing service level agreements that serve business needs effectively and commercially.
- Own the implementation of all programmes and projects, including tracking, risk management, reporting and coordination of learning logistics.
- Build and maintain key supplier relationships.
- Communicate effectively with the L&D team and central teams such as Procurement, Finance, IT and Facilities.
- Establish the learning implementation strategy to optimise ways of working and deliver an effective learner experience.
- Drive transformation of learning implementation through standardisation, automation and optimisation, collaborating with the Operations Manager and Leadership Team.
- Leverage practical learning implementation experience and knowledge of audit and the regulatory environment to bring best practice.
- Manage dayâtoâday team activities, providing coaching and leadership.
- Work across horizontal teams to support delivery of our book of work.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, IT and Facilities to support effective delivery.
- Provide onsite project management support for programmes as appropriate.
- Introduce fresh ideas to support effective learning solutions.
- Lead transformation projects in Learning Implementation to support standardisation, automation and optimisation.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Current experience working as a Manager or equivalent, with strong knowledge of learning and development and bestâpractice implementation.
- Experience of working with and across horizontal businessâpartnering, design and delivery teams.
- Enhanced knowledge of working with suppliers, ensuring valueâforâmoney and operational excellence against agreed SLAs.
- Strong working knowledge of audit and the associated regulatory environment.
- Proven track record of transformation, including simplification, automation and continuous improvement.
- Experience working with Procurement, Finance, IT and Facilities teams.
- Knowledge of Workday (our LMS) beneficial but not essential.
- Strong project management skills and associated tools knowledge.
- Exceptional communication skills across multiple grades.
- Experience leading a geographically spread team advantageous.
- Experience with budgetary management helpful but not essential.
