We're BDO, an accountancy and business advisory firm providing the advice and solutions all organisations need to navigate today's changing world. We work with companies that are Britain's economic engine – ambitious and entrepreneurially-spirited businesses that fuel the economy.
Our Tax Assurance & Risk Management ('TA&RM') team is a fast-growing collaborative team of around 15 people nationally led by three dedicated tax partners. Our work has helped many clients meet their legislative tax governance compliance obligations and strategically improve their tax operations and tax control framework.
This is a dynamic client-facing role that requires excellent client relationship, communication and project management skills. Most of your work will be client facing, reporting to senior managers, directors and partners, and will require you to actively manage your client portfolio and project delivery.
This role will involve consideration of a range of taxes including corporate, indirect and employment taxes. We require candidates with good commercial awareness who are eager to learn, adapt and contribute to this area of growth for the business.
We are looking for someone:
- Who can act as a key point of contact within the firm for the client, responding quickly to client requests/needs.
- With experience of TA&RM work, with a keen interest in tax governance and developing tax operations.
- With broad tax technical experience to talk knowledgeably about a range of tax issues.
- With experience in end-to-end project delivery and quality advice/report writing skills.
- With a strong presentation style, and confidence in hosting workshops, training sessions and webinars.
- Educated to degree level, and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent, or relevant experience.
At BDO, we'll help you achieve your personal goals and career ambitions, and we have programmes, resources, and frameworks that provide clarity and structure around career development.
Mutual support and respect is one of BDO's core values. Our agile working framework helps us stay connected, bringing teams together where and when it counts so they can share ideas and help one another.
We're looking forward to the future at BDO, helping entrepreneurial businesses to succeed, fuelling the UK economy. Our success is powered by our people, which is why we're always finding new ways to invest in you.
