Working with a broad client base, from start-ups to multinationals, the team works with companies as a whole and with individual employees to help them with some of the biggest decisions of their lives. You’ll be comfortable working pro-actively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners.
You will be a key member of the Global Employer Services group, providing reward and share schemes services for a wide range of clients. Responsibilities include:
- Advising on the tax treatment of share options and other forms of employee share ownership
- In-depth knowledge of EMI, ESS, and related areas such as employment, NIC, and capital gains tax
- Expertise on split interest, freezer, and nil paid arrangements
- Experience in the preparation of share valuations and liaison with HMRC
- Staff management and mentoring experience
- Awareness of accounting, employment law, and company law implications of share incentives
- Experience of dealing directly with clients including agreement of fees
- Educated to degree level (LLB preferred), and/or CTA and/or ATT/ACA qualified or equivalent
