You’ll be providing Tax Advisory services to start-ups and scale-ups, private businesses and FTSE listed multinationals. Each of our clients has different needs, and in applying your expertise in different contexts, you’ll develop your skills and gain valuable experience throughout your career.
The corporate tax team is highly integrated with indirect tax, employment tax, private client, tax risk assurance and innovation incentives specialists. As a core provider of services, the corporate tax team plays a fundamental role in leading trusted relationships with a variety of exciting businesses to deliver the holistic tax service BDO in Leeds is known for.
This role will provide Tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients, with a particular emphasis on large and complex corporates with international footprints and private equity backed portfolio businesses. You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients.
- Manage a substantial portfolio of clients including control of client take on and engagement, billings, and identification of opportunities to improve recoveries.
- Develop professional relationships with clients and within the Firm.
- Support, train, mentor and advise more junior colleagues.
- Lead on some projects within the team.
We’re looking for someone with:
- An in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of taxation with corporation tax specialist knowledge.
- Project and staff management experience.
- Ability to manage a client portfolio profitably while actively seeking opportunities for developing new clients.
- CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent.
- Demonstrable post-qualified experience.
