The work we do is underpinned by quality. We deliver audits which are trusted and transparent which can be relied upon by companies and their stakeholders. You’ll be someone who is comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with Senior Managers, Directors, and BDO’s Partners. You’ll help deliver accurate and transparent reporting to all relevant stakeholders as you provide long term value.

You’ll also be responsible for:

  • Acting as a major point of contact within the firm, responding quickly to, as well as anticipating requests/needs and keeping stakeholders informed of progress in relation to all aspects of the audit.
  • The financial management of a portfolio.
  • Ensuring that the firm’s risk management and quality control procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Identifying and recognising business and sales opportunities.
  • Supporting Partners and Senior Managers in the development of new business relationships and business proposals through high level sales and marketing activity.
  • Supporting with the recruiting, retaining, developing and motivating of our employees, including participating in graduate recruitment, ensuring job appraisal documentation is completed within deadlines and ensuring appropriate objectives and development plans are in place for counselees.
  • Working as part of the management team with other Audit Managers within the business group (e.g. resource planning, merit rate meetings and efficiency gains).
  • Acting as an ambassador of the firm, participating in office marketing events, keeping abreast of the wide range of services the firm offers.

You’ll be someone with:

  • ACA/ICAS qualification or overseas equivalent.
  • Good working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP and Financial Reporting requirements.
  • Working knowledge of financial products, firm services, issues regarding advice and regulation and compliance, including anti-money laundering.
  • Experience of systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts and disclosures.
  • Project Management experience.
