Director of Financial Management and Reporting

As well as delivering long-term, sustainable value to businesses by providing a range of solutions such as accounting, payroll and compliance services, they also play a key role in tying together many of our services across BDO both domestically and internationally.

As a Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading the team and ensuring the smooth delivery of services to our clients. You’ll manage day-to-day team operations, support senior colleagues, and oversee the review of statutory financial statements, financial reporting for various entities, corporate tax services, and ad-hoc advisory work. You’ll also contribute to strategic growth, coach junior staff, and support business development and commercial performance.

This role offers the chance to build on your financial reporting and technical expertise within a collaborative and supportive team. You’ll receive high-quality training and development to help you succeed. We work with a wide range of clients, primarily owner-managed and SME businesses, across various sectors. Our work spans UK GAAP and IFRS frameworks, including financial statement preparation and advisory projects.

You will be someone with:

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a management role.
• Strong working knowledge of UK and international reporting standards (including UK GAAP and UK-adopted IFRS) and related financial reporting requirements.
• Previous experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts.
• Business development experience - able to contribute to the identification and conversion of opportunities to services.
