We are looking for a Channel & Planning Manager to join our firmwide Internal Communications team. This role will own the firmwide internal communications planning approach and deliver our channel strategy, ensuring communications are prioritised, aligned and delivered effectively across the firm. Acting as the central coordination point for internal communications, the role brings structure, consistency and discipline to how and when we communicate, enabling the IC team to focus on strategic partnership and delivery of impactful communications.
The role will report into the Head of Internal Communications (Firmwide).
You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working pro-actively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.
Qualifications and Skills- Proven experience in internal communications with a strong understanding of design and implementation of channel strategy and management
- Communications planning and campaign coordination experience
- A strong understanding of multi‑channel communication approaches and technologies and digital experience (e.g. Poppulo, SharePoint Online, Viva Engage, and others)
- Experience working in a complex, matrix organisation
- Strong analytical skills and experience using engagement and performance data
- Experience of channel governance and content management frameworks
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and digital user experience principles
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills – able to manage high volumes of activity and competing demands
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- The ability to use data and insights to inform planning and continuous improvement
- Passionate about high quality, effective and creative communications that drive behaviour change and/or educate the audience
- Excellent diplomacy and negotiation skills to deal with colleagues, building trust and rapport to motivate others
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency
