We’re BDO, an accountancy and business advisory firm, providing the advice and solutions entrepreneurial organisations need to navigate today’s changing world. We work with the companies that are Britain’s economic engine – ambitious, entrepreneurially-spirited and high growth businesses that fuel the economy - and directly advise the owners and management teams that lead them.

Our Sales and Marketing team is being reshaped to directly support BDO’s growth ambitions. We’re building a high-performing function that is proud of its technical skills, reliable in delivery, and outcome-led in how we prioritise and execute. You’ll join a team big enough to offer diverse roles and opportunities, yet personal enough to ensure you’re supported and empowered from day one.

Here, we think beyond activity. You’ll bring ideas, fresh thinking and help shape how we deliver campaigns, insights and engagement across the business. Working closely with internal clients, you’ll deepen your understanding of our sectors and add value in your role. From strategic storytelling to capability building and smarter ways of working, you’ll grow your skills while working with people who care about doing the right thing and doing it well.

Leading organisations trust us because of the quality of our advice. That quality grows from a thorough understanding of their business, and that understanding comes from working closely with them and building long-lasting relationships. You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working pro-actively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively.

You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.

The Head of Marketing Campaigns leads a specialist team responsible for shaping, agreeing and delivering BDO’s marketing campaign portfolio in partnership with the business. The role turns growth priorities and value propositions into integrated, insight-led campaigns that drive engagement, demand creation and measurable commercial outcomes aligned to BDO’s sales methodology.

This is a sub-capability leadership role and owns the marketing campaigns discipline: portfolio planning, campaign methodology, setting and monitoring consistent delivery standards, performance optimisation, and technical skills development. The role ensures campaign activity is designed and executed as a joined-up operation across Marketing, GTM and Sales, with clear handoffs that support the end-to-end sales cycle. They have a rigorous focus on KPIs including reporting on lead nurturing and MQL to SQL conversion discipline.

This is a sales and marketing wider Leadership role. The Head of Marketing Campaigns will work closely with leaders across the function and in addition will be deployed hands‑on to lead priority campaigns and launches where senior campaign leadership is required.

Key responsibilities:

  • Shape and maintain a rolling campaign portfolio aligned to growth priorities; build shared agreement on focus areas, audiences, sequencing, resourcing assumptions and measures.
  • Partner with the Marketing, Operations, GTM and Sales capabilities to support the annual planning cycle, ensuring campaign inputs are evidenced, prioritised and contractable with the business.
  • Ensure campaign commitments are realistic and integrated with wider marketing activity (digital, content/assets, design) and GTM delivery plans.
  • Partner with Sales leaders and relevant stakeholders to iterate and refine value propositions and proof points based on client issues, solutions, growth priorities and what is selling.
  • Establish feedback loops with Sales (client feedback, win/loss learning, pursuit insights) and reflect those in future campaign messaging and targeting.
  • Oversee the end-to-end campaign lifecycle ensuring regular and engaging communications to internal stakeholders during adoption, and that briefs meet agreed quality standards to enable timely delivery across content, digital and design.
  • Ensure campaigns include clear “what to do next” expectations for GTM/Sales and that the business is set up to follow through.
  • Provide hands‑on leadership for priority launches/campaigns as required.
  • Define campaign measurement standards (objectives, success measures, reporting cadence, learning outputs).
  • Define and govern the MQL to SQL operating model jointly with Sales and Operations, including thresholds, nurture pathways, ownership and acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain knowledge of external and market developments that should be able to drive innovation in campaign delivery including use of AI and tech to drive efficiency.
  • Lead and develop the campaigns team: role clarity, coaching, performance management, recruitment input and onboarding.
  • Ensure capability knowledge is retained internally and agencies augment delivery rather than create dependency.

You’ll be someone with:

  • Significant experience leading integrated B2B campaigns, ideally within professional services or complex propositions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and mobilisation capability; able to influence, drive adoption and follow-through beyond “publishing activity”.
  • Proven ability to connect campaign strategy to commercial outcomes (pipeline influence, conversion signals, priority growth outcomes).
  • Strong proposition and messaging capability; able to co‑develop and iterate with Sales.
  • Experience establishing lead management/nurturing disciplines and working with Sales on conversion and follow‑up standards.
  • Proven people leadership and capability‑building experience; confident setting standards and driving consistency and managing performance.
